The Edgar M. Erb Memorial Fund was established by his sister Wenonah C. Erb in 1961. The intent of the gift is to sponsor medical students who wish to participate in the “field of research for the treatment of asthma until the disease has been conquered by medical science.”
The Edgar Erb Asthma Scholarship Program will be awarded to Med I students at The Ohio State University to support asthma-related research. Students may either apply for support based on existing or planned involvement in a specific asthma-related research project or they may apply for selection and assignment to an asthma related project that has been chosen for support.
Awards will be issued to 2-3 students as a stipend for work completed in the summer quarter. All OSU medical students will be notified via email about this scholarship opportunity in April of each school year with an application deadline in May.
